Networking of National Networks (NNN) ou réseau européen des réseaux nationaux de recherche clinique en pédiatrie est une plateforme d’échanges et de coopérations. Elle cible particulièrement la recherche clinique de promotion académique.
NNN s’est développé en marge de l’infrastructure européenne de RC pédiatrique conect4children (c4c) (projet financée par IMI-2, JU No 777389. ) pour favoriser la coopération entre les réseaux nationaux en dehors du champ d'activités de c4c. 20 pays européens ont participé à c4c.
Au terme du projet c4c, en avril 2025, PEDSTART a souhaité garder son rôle d’animateur de NNN en obtenant un financement de F-CRIN, l’infrastructure nationale Inserm de recherche clinique Française. PEDSTART organise les réunions trimestrielles du réseau NNN dans l’objectif de promouvoir une recherche académique Européenne.
L'étude de suivi TREOCAPA-LT (long term (eng)) de l’étude TREOCAPA est un exemple de l'utilité de ce réseau. TREOCAPA est le projet phare du portefeuille d'essais académiques de c4c. Il est financé par l'appel académique Proof Of Viability (POV) de c4c pour un montant de 6 millions d'euros. Il teste l'effet de l'acétaminophène sur le devenir de 700 bébés prématurés présentant un canal artériel à la naissance. Le suivi non interventionnel de cette étude fait l’objet d’une collaoration entre les réseaux nationaux PEDSTART NNN et RECAP preterm de l’unité CRESS (elle bénéficie d’un financement Messidor 2023 à hauteur de 1.6 M€).
Networking of National Networks (NNN) is a platform for exchange and cooperation. It specifically targets academic clinical research.
NNN was developed alongside the European paediatric clinical research infrastructure conect4children (c4c) (project funded by IMI-2, JU No 777389) to encourage cooperation between national networks outside the scope of c4c. 20 European countries participated in c4c.
At the end of the c4c project, in April 2025, PEDSTART wished to maintain its role as NNN coordinator by obtaining funding from F-CRIN, the French National Clinical Research infrastructure. PEDSTART organises quarterly meetings of the NNN network with the aim of promoting European academic research.
The TREOCAPA-LT (long term ) follow-up study is an example of the usefulness of this network. TREOCAPA is the flagship project in c4c's portfolio of academic trials. It is funded by c4c's proof of viability academic call for €6 million. It is testing the effect of acetaminophen on the outcome of 700 premature babies with ductus arteriosus at birth. The non-interventional follow-up of this study is made possible by cooperation between the PEDSTART NNN and RECAP preterm team from CRESS unity (it benefits of a Messidor 2023 funding of €1.6m.
